It reflects the government’s commitment to work with Indigenous partners, creating a better future for everyone in the province.

Education and Indigenous Languages Bursaries, Scholarships and Awards

This funding provides bursaries, scholarships and/or awards through the Building Brighter Futures Program to Indigenous students to increase access to and participation in postsecondary education and training. Ontario’s support helps to ensure that Indigenous learners have the skills training and formal education needed to actively participate and succeed in today’s economy.

Awards Criteria

Awards were made available to Indigenous post-secondary education and/or training students residing in Ontario, attending a post-secondary education institution or training delivery agency in Ontario, and confirmed to be enrolled in education-focused post-secondary programs and/or Indigenous languages post-secondary programs.
