FPX Nickel

FPX Nickel Corp. is an advanced exploration mining company and the world leader in the exploration of awaruite, a sulphur-free, nickel-iron mineral. Headquartered in Vancouver, BC, FPX is focused on the development of the Decar Nickel District in central British Columbia, including its flagship project the Baptiste Nickel Project. Once operational Baptiste is positioned to supply the electric vehicle battery and stainless-steel supply chains with some of the lowest carbon-intensive nickel produced anywhere in the world.

FPX is working to build lasting and meaningful relationships with First Nations and is guided by the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent. We are committed to providing economic, social, and cultural benefits as we advance the Baptiste Nickel Project and are proud to offer these bursaries to area First Nation members.

Program of Study: Skilled Trades, Diplomas, Certificates, Degrees.
Institution: Preference given to students studying at College of New Caledonia, University of Northern British Columbia, and the University of British Columbia.
Community/Region: Binche Whut’en, Tl’azt’en Nation, Yekooche First Nation, Takla Nation.
Indigenous Affiliation: Any
