United College

United College is a not-for-profit, small teaching and living environment within the University of Waterloo and is located on its main campus. The college is situated on lands deeply connected to Indigenous peoples who have historically lived, and who currently live, in this territory. As an educational institution, the college is committed to respecting the traditional knowledge that Indigenous peoples have derived from these lands and to learning from their experiences on them.
United College serves the Waterloo community through teaching and delivering support for University of Waterloo courses and providing residence to students of all faculties. The institution also supports students in pursuing and launching new ideas for social or environmental change through its social impact incubator, GreenHouse, and facilitates the sharing of sacred Indigenous knowledge and heritage rebuilding through the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre.
