Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan

Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) is a national provider of insurance products and services dedicated to protecting what matters most to our members: family, health, and property. As a not-for-profit organization, OTIP is governed by Ontario’s four education affiliates and their local leaders, who champion the needs of the education community.

We provide expert consulting services and administer life, health, and dental coverage for the education affiliates’ Employee Life and Health Trusts (ELHTs), as well as the CUPE Education Workers’ Benefits Trust. OTIP also manages all aspects of our OTIP Long Term Disability (LTD) plan, from claims adjudication and payment to collecting member contributions. Additionally, we offer LTD services for Teachers Life, extending our trusted expertise further.

For retired education workers, OTIP supports their needs through the Retired Teachers Insurance Plans (RTIP), providing voluntary travel, health, and dental insurance.

Beyond group benefits, OTIP offers home and auto insurance through our network of registered brokers, with our Curo Claims Services team available 24/7 to ensure prompt support for home and auto claims.
