Ontario Energy Board

As Ontario’s independent regulator of the electricity and natural gas sectors, we protect consumer interests, deliver public value and, in doing so, contribute to Ontario’s economic, social, and environmental development. Our responsibilities include rate setting, publishing utility performance data, and ensuring regulatory compliance. We are a diverse, driven, transparent, and thoughtful team, accountable to each other, the sector, and the customers we serve. Our success resides with our people and a culture that is grounded in the belief that diversity, equity, and inclusion are the key differentiators between good and great organizations.

OEB Indigenous Scholarship

The OEB Indigenous Scholarship aims to support Indigenous youth education, meet the rising demand for talent in the energy sector, and enhance the OEB’s intercultural awareness. Annually, two scholarships will be awarded to Ontario Indigenous post-secondary students in need of financial assistance over a two-year period. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in discussion groups, meet with staff, and apply for paid work terms at the OEB.
