College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario

The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) is the regulatory body for over 14,000 Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs) in the province. The CDHO exists to protect the public’s right to safe, competent care and does this by:
- Setting the requirements to become an RDH.
- Developing standards and guidelines for practice.
- Ensuring that RDHs keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date through a Quality Assurance Program.
- Receiving and investigating complaints from the public about RDHs.
